REDISCOVER JOY. REDISCOVER YOU.
therapy to help women reconnect with their whole selves
Sound familiar?
Do you ever feel like you are already running behind when your "too early" alarm clock goes off each morning? Have you ever felt like your day is spent running from activity to activity, obligation to obligation, and expectation to expectation?

Maybe you try to balance making “everyone happy”, your partner, your parents, your children, your boss…all while feeling like you are abandoning yourself in the process. You may find yourself thinking, “Something has to change.” But what?

There may be fear around letting things go, letting others down, things falling apart. I’m guessing there is a good chance you carry a heavy load, much of which feels unseen, and perhaps you feel overwhelm and resentment build.

When the busyness stops, old wounds, grief, hopes, and anxiety may get loud. They may feel “too big”, “too much” or “too heavy.” So, to help escape them, back to the busyness we go.

I hear you. And I know that in the midst of the exhaustion, overwhelm, and disconnection, there is a voice within that KNOWS there is something more.

Whatever that voice is needing, let’s find it together.

At JoyLab ALL parts of you are welcome.
In session, we often talk about the different “parts” that encompass who you are. Think of a hula hoop. In the front, we have our “bright and shiny” parts. These parts are those that have helped us survive. We are often rewarded in some way for these parts, and they tend to be the ones we show off to others. These parts could be our “overachiever”, our “people-pleaser”, our "perfectionist”, or our “caretaker”.

On the back of our hula hoop are the parts we tend to want to keep hidden. These parts are the ones we may be embarrassed to have others see. They tend to be our more vulnerable parts. Our parts that may feel abandoned, scared, anxious, afraid, or lonely.
In our work together, we will strive to integrate all parts, so that they all have a voice, are validated, heard, and integrated.
